Six Of Crows Book Tag

Pals, I’ve done it. I’ve finally finished the entire Grishaverse. I am a mess of feels. The good news is, I can now finally finish the SoC book tag that the wonderful Layla @readablelife tagged me in after I’d finished SoC last year!

Let's Chat... Writing Updates

I thought it had been a little while since I’d done a let’s chat post, and I know that one of the things I bang on about on my socials is my writing. So, I thought I’d do a ‘Let’s Chat…’ post today to update you on all things writing and how it’s going. Grab a cuppa and join me!

Books I'd Gladly Throw In To The Ocean

Okay so, here’s this week’s slightly belated Top Ten Tuesday, and it was a prompt I couldn’t resist - books I’d happily throw in to the ocean! I think over the years I’ve got fairly good at picking up books that don’t make me want to yeet them across a room, but there have been a few that have slipped through the net…

My Easter Readathon Reading Wrap-Up

Well, Easter Readathon is over for another year. As always, I’ve had a glorious weekend where I’ve spent essentially four days solidly reading. (I mean, what else is there to do in the current times?). I actually managed to read all five of the books on my TBR, so here’s a little review of each of the books I read!

My March Reading Wrap-Up

March was the month of re-reading. While I did read some new books tonight, the majority of my reading this month involved returning to old favourites. And I have no regrets - because I read more this month than I have done the rest of 2021 put together, and I feel I’ve actually read enough books to warrant a wrap-up? Wild.

Easter Readathon

When Kate over at Reading Through Infinity announced that Easter Readathon was back for another year, I did a little dance of excitement! I love reading solidly for the whole weekend, with reading sprints and chatting about books with everyone else joining in. I also have the world’s largest TBR to wade through, so any excuse to get through that is always welcome!

World Book Day Celebration: Diverse Books for Kids & Teens

Happy World Book Day!

World Book Day is my favourite day of the year. it’s a wonderful time to get excited about the amazing books there are in the MG/YA world, as well as dress up as some of my most beloved characters!

And this year, this blog hop has been a fantastic way for so many of us readers to share a few of our favourite diverse reads for young people. Here are my recommendations!

My Reading Journal

This year my bullet journal obsession reached a whole new level, and I decided to start reading journal. I’ll be honest, it’s almost entirely down to this video of Plant Based Bride’s, where I remembered how much I love scrapbook style and decided I needed this in my life asap.

January Reading Wrap-Up

Okay so, January was set to be a really productive month of reading. Especially given that it felt about a thousand years long. But I got rather waylaid by some very exciting book post, which changed all my reading plans for the month.

My Winter BookHiBearNation TBR

It’s time for another BookHibearNation! Hosted by Simon Savidge and TomReadsThings, I love BookHibearNations as they are just so cosy and lovely - even more so in the winter time!

I’m very much a mood reader, so don’t know how strictly I’ll stick to these, but here’s what I’ve assembled for a loose TBR for the week. And as per my bookish resolution for the year, these are all from my TBR stacks that I didn’t get to in 2020. Eeek.

Review: Dragon Mountain

Dragon Mountain is the first in the Dragon Realm series by Katie and Kevin Tsang. And as I love all things dragon, I was so excited to get stuck in to this middle grade adventure!

Books I Wish I’d Read in 2020

There are SO MANY I could choose for this blog post. I dealt with everything in 2020 by just buying all the books, so my physical TBR is now just a mess of stacks on the floor that seem to have taken on a life of their own. But here are six from those stacks that I really wish I’d got to last year.

2021: Reading Goals

So despite falling off the wagon and having a horrendous reading slump for the final few months of 2020, I did so well last year with my reading! I read 95 books (inc one DNF and several re-reads) which is so high compared to what I expected - I’d predicted to come in at about the 60-70 mark!

However, that was helped by a change in my hours as I worked from home for a lot of 2020, so I’m not expecting to replicate these same sort of statistics in 2021. But I have got some bookish goals to share, so here they are!

My August Reading Wrap-Up

The summer holidays really are the greatest gift to my ability to keep on top of my TBR… As a result, welcome to possibly the longest wrap up I’ve ever written on this blog. I read so many books in August, so it’s hardly a surprise we’re half way through September and I’m only just posting this! But I really did have an excellent month of reading, and have several new favourites - including another contender for the best book I’ve read in 2020…
